Southeast Alaska Whale Watching and Bear Viewing
A yacht voyage gives you time to explore Southeast Alaska’s waterways and watch for wildlife as the journey unfolds. Wild Dawn’s wildlife gallery includes humpback whales, orcas and brown bears photographed on previous voyages.
Make wildlife part of your itinerary
Tell us which encounters matter most to your group when you inquire. We can discuss how wildlife viewing fits with your preferred route, time aboard and other interests. Build flexibility into your plans: wildlife moves freely, and weather and local conditions shape each day.
Enjoy the moment from the water and shore
Bring binoculars and keep your camera close while cruising. For shore outings, follow the captain and crew’s directions and allow wildlife space. A patient, flexible approach leaves room for unexpected moments.
Alaska Yacht Charters with Fishing, Kayaking, and Hiking
Wild Dawn brings several ways to experience Alaska into one voyage. Fish remote waters, paddle quiet coves, explore shorelines and return to the yacht to relax at the end of the day.
Fishing from your expedition base
Fishing is included with Wild Dawn voyages, supported by the dedicated 24-foot Sea Wolf fishing boat. Tell us about your fishing interests and experience so we can discuss how time on the water fits your plans. Fishing licenses are not included.
Kayaking and exploring by Zodiac
Let us know whether your group would like gentle paddling or more active days. The 18-foot Zodiac offers another way to explore nearby coves and shorelines. The crew selects activities around conditions and the needs of the group.
Time ashore
Share your group’s hiking preferences, mobility needs and desired pace before the trip. A flexible itinerary can combine time on the water with opportunities to explore wild shores.
A private charter starts with your group and the experiences you want to share. Gather your priorities before you inquire, and we can help shape a voyage around them.
1. Choose your group and preferred dates
Tell us how many people may be traveling, your preferred travel window and how flexible your dates are. You can inquire before your dates are final. Share any accommodation or accessibility needs early.
2. Set your priorities
Choose the experiences that matter most: fishing, kayaking, whale watching, bear viewing, hiking or simply spending time together in remote surroundings. Let us know the balance of activity and relaxation that suits your group.
3. Explore life aboard
Wild Dawn has four guest staterooms: one king, two queens and one queen with two bunks. Each stateroom has a private ensuite bathroom. Review the yacht’s accommodations and discuss your group’s sleeping arrangements with us.
4. Confirm your route and travel arrangements
Review proposed itineraries and ask about embarkation and disembarkation ports, trip length, inclusions, availability and booking terms. Confirm those details before making independent travel arrangements.
5. Send an inquiry
Your preferred dates, group size and interests give us a helpful starting point. If you are still comparing options, tell us what you know so far.
